Abuja holds first ever Miss Karu Beauty Pageant

 All is now set for the first edition of Miss Karu Beauty Pageant (MCBP) which has been scheduled to hold on February 14, 2014 (Valentine ’s Day) at Corte Land Garden, Karu, Abuja.

 The event which is creatively organized by LionHeart Entertainment aims to empower young Abuja girls who are naturally endowed.

 Speaking on the essence of the Beauty Pageant, the convener of MCBP, Miss. Josephine Awuhe said MCBP was borne out of the desire of the organizers to engage in grassroots development project.

 According to Josephine," so much talent abound in most of the satellite towns in Abuja, but little or no attention has been given to those raw talents. That is why we have decided to come up with Miss Karu Beauty Pageant. In this era of unemployment, characterised by vices, we need to engage the youth in our own little way." She said.

 Speaking on the benefit of the Pageant Josie as she is fondly called said, " the winner of Miss Karu Beauty Pageant will smile home with N200,000 or equivalent. The third and second runners up will equally be compensated."

 She said emphasis should rather be placed on individual participation, exposure and fame that will be gathered at the event instead of just the cash reward.

 Meanwhile, it has been gathered that it shall be an all star-storm event as many international and local artistes have been contacted to be part of the event.
